Campus Confidential

This year I have the honor of consulting Greek students and undergraduate InterVarsity staff at five other campuses in North Carolina and Virginia. Each campus is at a different stage of ministry growth and development. Click on the school below for an update on what is going on at each campus. And please be in prayer for the Greek students at these schools who are trying to start ministry within their fraternity, sorority, or Greek system at large with very little 'adult supervision'!

Washington & Lee University

Washington & Lee is a beautiful campus located in one of my favorite small towns - Lexington, VA. Most of the campus is Greek and they have massive fraternity and sorority houses. Most of the social networking revolves around the Greek system. InterVarsity used to have a large presence in the system, but recently has fallen off. Getting Greeks into a Christian meeting is not the problem here, it's getting them to care about their brothers and sisters who are not at those meetings that is the hard part. The InterVarsity staff at W&L, Steve, is very open to, and increasingly passionate about Greek ministry - as he desires to serve his campus well.

We have one student leader, Meghan, who truly desires to offer life-changing ministry to the Greeks who are not otherwise involved in campus ministry. She has started a Bible study in her sorority, Chi Omega, and hopes to build towards an all-Greek study with a series of outreach events. Getting some W&L students to Greek Conference would really help propel that ministry forward.

Pray for: Meghan and her encouragement as she intentionally leads Greek ministry; Steve and his continued heart for and education of the Greek system at W&L; students to commit to Greek Conference.
